Project Process

Stage 1

Research / Initial concepts

• Client product requirements and critical path as advised by Client.
• Some market research and competitor comparisons with trend, trim and colour predictions tailored for the above ranges to be presented in mood board format, which can be later used for key presentation and marketing purposes.
• Range to be designed and presented in colour CAD presentation boards including fabric / trim detailing and Clienting application concepts which can be later used for key presentation and marketing purposes.
  

Presentation

Present to Client too highlight the features and benefits of the range.

Stage 2

Development / Tech Packs

• Any changes made from initial concepts will be implemented at this stage.
• Full black & white technical drawings – illustrating dimensions of front, back, base and any additional views required explaining the product.
• Continue development and communication process with the Client product development team to ensure the understanding of product at the early stages to achieve better proto-types.
• A copy of all final work will be issued on CD format.

Stage 3

1st Proto Stage

• Review all proto-types and update product and specs as required throughout development stage.
• Follow all product development from Design to 2nd proto stage with product development manager.
• Liaise with Project Management on graphic and trim issues.
• Update CADS as required throughout process.

2nd proto stage – if required –This Is As 1st Proto Stage

Stage 4

Final samples are prepared and when they are agreed as being exactly what is required, one set is signed by the client and one by Luggage Rack and each party keeps a set. This will eliminate any disagreement about their execution in the future!

Stage 5

Agreement is concluded about Issues such as delivery dates, payment terms, warehousing, logistics, shipping etc etc.

Stage 6

LR Qualified QA/QC partners in China carry out checks during and before final production prior to containerisation for delivery to the appointed ship.

Bills of Laden and other documents are passed to our UK/China Forwarders so that a smooth unloading and customs clearance takes place on arrival in UK

Stage 7

Delivery to appointed warehouse, a happy Client and a long term relationship begins!
